Fenugreek contains mucilagins which are known for soothing and relaxing inflamed tissues. Thyme has been used for centuries for its aromatic qualities. Thyme contains volatile oils that have antiseptic qualities which are ideal for treating infections of the respiratory system. Thyme also contains antispasmodic properties ideal for relieving chronic coughing, muscle spasms and headaches.

COMMENTS:
Thyme is a much branching subshrub with woody stems, numerous small, pointed, strongly aromatic, medium green leaves and lilac summer flowers.

Uses: Culinary Thyme aids the digestion of fatty foods and is part of Benedictine liqueur. It is ideal for for the long, slow cooking of stews and soups. Thyme oil is distilled from the leaves and flowering tops and is a stimulant and antiseptic. It is a nerve tonic used externally to treat depression, colds, muscular pain, and respiratory problems. The oil is added to acne lotions, soaps and mouthwashes. Research has confirmed Thyme strengthens the immune system.

Antiseptic: Thyme fights several disease-causing bacteria and fungi. Try sprinkling dried herb on your wounds.

Digestive Aid: The antispasmodic action soothes the muscle tissue of the gastrointestinal tract.

Women's Health: used in small amounts to relieve menstrual cramps but large doses can stimulate the uterus. Avoid if pregnant.

Cough Remedy: Known as an expectorant and widely used in Germany to treat cough, whooping cough and emphysema.
