Standardized to contain 20% (60 mg.) Aescin per capsule.

The "PDR for Herbal Medicines" states that standardized Horse Chestnut is used for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency, pains and sensation of heaviness in the legs, nocturnal cramps in the calves, pruritis and swelling of the legs.
It is also used for phlebitis, spider veins, varicose veins, cardio vascular disease (CVD), painful injuries, sprains, bruising, edema and rheumatic disease.
The German government allows it to be prescribed for all of the above. In addition, my research shows it has been used for excema, leg pains, menstruation related pains, arthritis and rheumatism. It may help as a cough remedy also. |
